How quickly will I get a reply?
We aim to respond to every message within two business days (Australian time). Simple questions usually get answered faster; bug reports and feature requests may take a bit longer if we need to investigate or prioritise them. We read every message personally — there's no autoresponder sorting them into buckets.
I've found a false positive or false negative. What should I include?
If Broken Link Finder reported a link as broken when it actually works (or vice versa), please include the exact URL you scanned, the specific link in question, and what you expected to happen. Screenshots help too. Sometimes the issue is that a destination server returns different responses to different clients — we want to understand the full picture before tweaking our detection logic.
Can I suggest a new feature or check type?
Yes, please. We've added several improvements based on user suggestions — things like redirect chain reporting, categorising link types, and handling internationalised domain names. If there's something you wish we checked, tell us what and why. Real-world use cases carry a lot of weight.
Do you accept guest posts or link exchanges?
No — we don't publish guest posts, we don't do link exchanges, and we don't buy or sell backlinks. All the content on Broken Link Finder is written by us, for our own audience. Pitches for link-for-link schemes will be politely ignored.
